Is there a chance of this relationship working? if so how can i keep it strong??
I have liked this guy for over a year now, i have known him since i was born and our parents are very good friends. We had become good friends over time
and I tried to let go of my feelings for him since he didn't return them, but it
didn't work.Over the year my looks changed and we became more similar to
each other. Eventually he asked me out and we dated for 2 months.? He lives 45
minutes away from me and since we are 15 we only end up meeting up once a month.
We broke up for a month because we were both in tough situations at home, but he
asked me out again because he said he regretted it and we both really are about
each other. We have been going out for 2 weeks again and it feels like I haven't
seen him in forever. We were supposed to meet up next weekend with friends but I
am going away so I won't be able to see him for another 2 weeks which makes a
month of not seeing each other again. I miss him a lot and he misses me too. We
talk everyday and try to video chat everyday as well. We stay up all night video
Ella,
Long distance relationships are not easy. But if you truly like him this much just be patient. Eventually you two will get your license and be able to meet up and see each other. But until then just do what you're doing and try to be patient and faithful. It sounds like you two have a sweet relationship that you cherish obviously so don't give up. Try to even write love letters to each other, that?s always a fun and cute way to brighten up your relationship. Video chatting def. helps so keep doing that. But theres a reason for everything so just think of this time as you being able to cherish each other for who you both are rather than just focusing on all the physical stuff. Have you thought about asking your parents more if you can meet up or all go out as a family so you can at least see each other? Try that; never hurts to ask right? But don't loose faith!-Jewelz

Six senators embrace same-sex marriage as Supreme Court hearings begin
by Mike Andrew - SGN Staff Writer
Six Democratic U.S. senators from swing states announced their support for marriage equality this week, in the hours before U.S. Supreme Court hearings began on Prop 8 and DOMA.
Claire McCaskill of Missouri led off the parade on March 25, posting a statement on her Tumblr page.
'I have come to the conclusion that our government should not limit the right to marry based on who you love,' McCaskill wrote.
'While churches should never be required to conduct marriages outside of their religious beliefs, neither should the government tell people who they have a right to marry. My views on this subject have changed over time, but as many of my Gay and Lesbian friends, colleagues, and staff embrace long-term committed relationships, I find myself unable to look them in the eye without honestly confronting this uncomfortable inequality. Supporting marriage equality for Gay and Lesbian couples is simply the right thing to do for our country, a country founded on the principles of liberty and equality.
'Good people disagree with me. On the other hand, my children have a hard time understanding why this is even controversial. I think history will agree with my children.'
'EVOLVING' VIEWS
McCaskill was followed in short order by Sens. Mark Warner of Virginia and Mark Begich of Alaska.
'I support marriage equality because it is the fair and right thing to do,' Warner wrote on his Facebook page.
'Like many Virginians and Americans, my views on Gay marriage have evolved, and this is the inevitable extension of my efforts to promote equality and opportunity for everyone. I was proud to be the first Virginia governor to extend anti-discrimination protections to LGBT state workers. In 2010, I supported an end to the military's 'don't ask, don't tell' policy, and earlier this month I signed an amicus brief urging the repeal of DOMA. I believe we should continue working to expand equal rights and opportunities for all Americans.'
'I believe that same-sex couples should be able to marry and should have the same rights, privileges, and responsibilities as any other married couple,' Begich said in a statement also issued March 25.
'Government should keep out of individuals' personal lives - if someone wants to marry someone they love, they should be able to. Alaskans are fed up with government intrusion into our private lives, our daily business, and in the way we manage our resources and economy.'
In a statement to ABC News, West Virginia Sen. Jay Rockefeller also endorsed equality. Rockefeller was the only one of the six who was in Congress when DOMA passed in 1996, and at the time he voted for it.
GENERATIONAL SHIFT
'Like so many of my generation, my views on allowing Gay couples to marry have been challenged in recent years by a new, more open generation,' Rockefeller said.
'Churches and ministers should never have to perform marriages that violate their religious beliefs, but the government shouldn't discriminate against people who want to marry just because of their gender. Younger people in West Virginia and even my own children have grown up in a much more equal society, and they rightly push us to question old assumptions - to think deeply about what it means for all Americans to be created equal. This has been a process for me, but at this point I think it's clear that DOMA is discriminatory. I'm against discrimination in all its forms, and I think we can move forward in our progress toward true equality by repealing DOMA.'
Sen. Jon Tester of Montana joined the crowd on March 26.
'Montanans believe in the right to make a good life for their families,' Tester said on Facebook. 'How they define a family should be their business and their business alone. I'm proud to support marriage equality because no one should be able to tell a Montanan or any American who they can love and who they can marry.'
'A COMPLEX ISSUE'
North Carolina Sen. Kay Hagan checked in the next day.
'Marriage equality is a complex issue with strong feelings on both sides, and I have a great deal of respect for varying opinions on the issue,' she posted on Facebook.
'After much thought and prayer, I have come to my own personal conclusion that we shouldn't tell people who they can love or who they can marry. This wasn't a decision I came to overnight, like my Republican colleague Rob Portman expressed recently on his own viewpoint. Last year, I opposed [anti-Gay] Amendment One because I was concerned about the negative consequences it could have on North Carolina families and our economy. The fabric of North Carolina and what makes our state so special is our families and our common desire for a brighter future for our children. No matter what your family looks like, we all want the same thing for our families - happiness, health, prosperity, a bright future for our children and grandchildren.'
While the senators added to the political momentum building up for a reversal of DOMA by abandoning their previous skepticism about marriage rights for Gay and Lesbian couples, not all of them will have to deal with immediate political consequences. McCaskill and Tester won re-election last year and will not face voters again until 2018, and Rockefeller has already announced that his current term will be his last. But Warner, Begich, and Hagan, who were elected in 2008, will be up for re-election next year.

MANCHESTER, England (AP) -Manchester City scored two goals in each half to cruise to a 4-0 win over Newcastle in the Premier League on Saturday and maintain its slim hopes of catching rival Manchester United for the title.
Carlos Tevez and David Silva both netted late in the first half to put City firmly in control and Vincent Kompany marked his return from an eight-game absence by netting the third in the 56th.
James Perch's own goal in the 69th capped the scoring for a dominant City, which strengthened its grip on second place but remained 15 points behind United with eight games to play.
Tevez slid in to turn Gael Clichy's cross at the far post in the 41st minute for his seventh goal in six games and 17th overall this season. Newcastle never had a chance to recover, as Clichy and Edin Dzeko both forced saves from Rob Elliott over the next few minutes before Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri combined to set Silva up for the second.
Kompany then scored his first goal for City in nearly a year, flicking home Gareth Barry's off-target shot to put the result beyond doubt. Kompany missed the previouse eight games with a calf injury, but played for Belgium during the international break.
The fourth came after Toure strode through Newcastle's defense and beat Elliot at his near post with a shot that deflected off Perch.
City will face United in a Manchester derby at Old Trafford next weekend, when it can further delay its rivals title celebrations.

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - For those who are able, exercising once or twice more weekly may alleviate some symptoms of a chronic pain condition without making joints feel worse, according to a new study.
Previous studies have found short-term benefits of exercise for fibromyalgia, a poorly understood disorder that includes joint pain, tenderness, fatigue and depression and affects an estimated 5.8 million Americans, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
But many fibromyalgia sufferers fail to keep up with exercise programs out of fear that it will worsen pain, Dr. Eric Matteson, a rheumatologist who was not involved in the study, told Reuters Health.
"This study shows that if they're able to stay with the exercise program in the long term it actually is helpful to them," said Matteson, chair of the department of rheumatology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
As part of a larger study funded by the National Institutes of Health, researchers recruited 170 people who had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, had been on medication for the condition for at least a month and reported low levels of physical activity.
Each person received a personalized aerobic exercise "prescription" based on their current fitness level, which usually meant walking around a track, according to lead author Anthony Kaleth, who designed the regimens.
Over three months the exercise programs gradually increased in intensity from twice weekly 10-minute sessions to up to four weekly 30-minute sessions of moderate exercise achieving 60 percent of maximum heart rate.
"It would be considered low to moderate intensity for the average individual," Kaleth, who specializes in exercise testing at Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis, told Reuters Health.
Over the three months of the program and for the next six months the participants reported their activity levels in a questionnaire.
Other questionnaires assessed how their fibromyalgia symptoms changed, including muscle impairment, overall wellbeing, pain levels and depression.
At the end of the study, 27 people said they'd sustained the exercise over all nine months, 68 increased their workout efforts for three months then decreased again and 75 were no more active than when they started.
The first two groups also reported less physical impairment and better overall wellbeing than those who did not increase their activity at all. A steady increase in intensity was linked to a slight decrease in pain, although a temporary bump in exercise was not. Depression levels did not change in any group.
"One of the best known therapeutic activities for fibromyalgia patients is exercise," Kaleth said. "Our study confirmed that result."
Any increase in activity, whether or not it was maintained, resulted in positive changes in symptoms and no increased pain, according to the findings in Arthritis Care and Research.
If they had followed the participants for a longer period of time, they might have seen more benefits for people who maintained the program, Kaleth said.
Most people use a combination of medications, including pain relievers, antidepressants and anti-seizure drugs to alleviate fibromyalgia symptoms. Doctors also recommend keeping active with walking, swimming or water aerobics, but many patients are reluctant to start exercising.
"They're more worried that it's going to be painful, but that's more of a psychological effect," Kaleth said.
Starting off too vigorously before building up endurance can be painful for anyone, with or without fibromyalgia, Matteson said.
"This is a stepping stone I think in terms of the actual result that we found," Kaleth said.

Look who's coming for dinner again: Senate Republicans!
On Wednesday, April 10 , President Obama will dine with a new group of 12 Republican senators.
Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., was tasked with organizing the second guest list for dinner, which is still being assembled, Republican aides on Capitol Hill confirm. The location of the dinner is still to be announced.
This second dinner party follows one earlier this month, on March 6, in which President Obama hosted 12 Republican senators at the Jefferson Hotel to break bread.
That first dinner also came among separate meetings on Capitol Hill by President Obama with Senate Republicans and House Republicans, widely seen as a presidential "charm offensive" by engaging Republicans after the brutal, partisan battles from the months before.
Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., did not attend the first dinner but said he's glad President Obama has been engaging his members more.
"I expect the president to talk to various members," McConnell said after the first dinner. "Frankly, I wish he'd done more of that over the years. We've had, all of us, very limited interaction with the president. And he certainly doesn't have to go through me to call on my members. And I'm sure he will, and I encourage him to do so."

I watched the Duggar?s visit to China tonight along with most of the Chinese adoption community.
I have also read many of the negative comments virally exploding on Facebook about such a large family considering growing their family even more by adoption.
I even read one very critical comment suggesting the Duggars should have thought about adopting fifteen children ago.
Really?
As a mom of quite a few biological children and two adopted teens from China, I have much to say on this topic.
There is a basic truth that we have somehow lost sight of in this country that was once so rooted and grounded on the principles of God.
God is all about life and creating, about growing and expanding.
He gives life.
He is not limited by our finite, tiny minds and narrow scopes of how many children we think we can handle.
As a mother of many who never did anything to avoid having children, I strongly disagree with the mindset that we must limit the number of biological children we have in order to care for orphans. God is bigger than all of that. He can bless families with huge numbers of biological children AND BRING THE ORPHANS HOME.
We do not need to limit God or to prevent life in one fashion to welcome it in another.
God has all the power in the world to bring the children home and bless us abundantly, if He so chooses, with many biological children.
Furthermore, it?s not the huge families who have learned to trust God for their family size that are perpetuating the orphan crisis. It is the mindset of the small family, the mindset that says no to God, the mindset that doesn?t have room for more in their lives that keeps the orphans from coming home.
And it is not God who is so busy creating new life that allows the orphans to suffer and remain alone.
It is His body, the church that has taken their eyes off the suffering Savior, and instead come to value comfort and ease and amusement, that fails to bring the orphans home.
Of course large families are adopting the children.
Large families have had to learn to go against society and even the church to grow their family beyond their own comprehension.
Merely having a big family grows one?s faith immensely.
Large families have come to understand that resources don?t divide and diminish with each child. They grow and multiply.
Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses. Proverbs 28:27
Large families know that God provides.
Large families know that God grows their resources just as He grew the loaves and the fishes.
Large families have learned to step out of the rat race and busyness of life and to spend time at home working with and tending to their children.
Large families have already learned by necessity to structure and manage more in their lives.
Large families typically homeschool their children which can be the perfect environment for an older child who has grown up in an orphanage and is not developmentally ready for traditional schooling.
Large families view children as God sees children, as blessings from His very own hand.
Parents of large families have already laid their desires and dreams at the feet of Jesus and know that their fulfillment will come in serving their Savior and welcoming His gifts into their lives.
Parents of large families know that there is no greater joy than following God?s will.
Parents of large families know they can parent another. They have done it over and over again.
Parents of large families have parented many children with various personalities. They have years of life experience and wisdom.
Not only are the parents of large families overwhelmingly prepared and willing to welcome another, but the children are as well.
Children from large families are blessed to understand that they are a part of something bigger than themselves. They learn to give and to share.
Children from large families know the world does not revolve around them.
Children of large families value the friendships they have with their siblings.
Children from large families are happy, fulfilled and deeply loved.
A large family provides a fertile, welcoming, stimulating, loving community for an adopted child to immediately become a part of.
Large families welcome more children with an adeptness and skill that no brand new parent could rival.
Sometimes it is an established family that is prepared to care for the children with bigger challenges and needs.
Of course large families are adopting the children.
Of course large biological families are extremely well prepared to care for orphaned children.
May God use the Duggars to bless many orphans through their voice and may He use us to do the same.
And may God grow the faith of His people and bring the children home!
Blessings!

A female Pakistani teacher and mother of three was shot dead by two motorcyclists near the school where she taught in Peshawar, Pakistan.
UN Special Envoy for Global Education Gordon Brown has condemned the shooting as a "Malala-style" incident. Malala Yousafzai, 15, is a young advocate for women's education who was shot in the face at point-blank range by Taliban gunmen on Oct. 9 in Pakistan?s Swat Valley.
Shahnaz Bibi was a headmistress and a teacher at a primary school. She was on her way to work, traveling with her young son, when the attack took place. Her son, Daniel, 12, was unhurt.
"I want justice," he told ITV?s Penny Marshall. "My mother suffered an injustice, and I want the world to know that."
His father must now care for Daniel and his two sisters alone.
Yousafzai was one of the first to sign a petition asking the Pakistani government to protect women and girls pursuing an education.
"I think the petition that?s now being started and led by Malala herself is demanding that the Pakistani government not only get girls to school but protect teachers and girls when they go to school from extremist sects that are trying to deny girls in the 21st century the right to education," Brown, the former British prime minister, said.
Several female aid workers and teachers have died in similar attacks in Pakistan.

When I first started college in 1992 as a computer science and business major, the Internet wasn't even available to students. I remember how amazed I was to first learn in my second and third year computer classes about this incredible idea of being able to see pages of information from other computers around the world through some type of "browser."
By the early 2000's, all the big companies had created some sort of web site, and many of the smaller companies were still trying to figure out how to do so cheaply.
Fast-forward to today, some 20 years later. It is really amazing to see how much the Internet has advanced and how it has become integrated into nearly every sphere of society. Everyone has a web site that wants one, and you can get really great looking web sites for free.
Long gone are the days when computers were bulky pieces of equipment that costs thousands of dollars apiece. Today's smartphone and iPad devices can now do more than the large, bulky computers of the 1990s.
Even so, there are still so many amazing things that can be done online that most people aren't aware of. Nearly anything you could ever want to know or do can be found online.
Below are six out of the ordinary things you can do online that I think will surprise you.
1. Create 3D Objects
It is now possible to turn a drawing into a real 3D object, thanks to services such as Shapeways and i.Materialise. All you have to do is upload your design file. These printing companies will then turn your design into a 3D image and then actually print out a 3D object on one of their 3D printers.
You no longer have to spend a fortune putting together a prototype. 3D printers are here, and they are amazing!
2. View Old Versions Of Almost Any Website
The Internet is changing at a rapid pace and websites are often being updated with fresh, new content. However, Internet archive sites like Wayback Machine allow you to see exactly what a site looked like at certain points in time.
Internet archive sites can be used for market research purposes or simply for personal amusement, but they can also be very helpful if you ever need to file a legal claim against a business or individual.
3. Find Your Ring Size
While there are numerous jewelry sellers that offer a wide range of rings for sale online, most people struggle with shopping for a ring online. The main reason for this is that they do not know their ring size. However, this is a problem that is easily solved with sites such as findmyringsize.com.
Such sites allow you to easily determine your exact ring size. These sites can also determine the ring size of another individual if you can gain access to a ring that belongs to the other person.
4. Rent A Fancy Sports Car
There are numerous companies that rent regular cars, but only a few that specialize in luxury or fancy sports car rental. You may think that it is too difficult to rent a Bentley or Ferrari for a special event or even a weekend of fun, but this is not the case.
Companies such as Gotham Dream Cars specialize in luxury car rental. All you need is a driver's license, credit card, and the desire to have some fun. Once the car has been rented, it is dropped off at your door.
5. Rent a Pet
Flexpetz and other companies that offer animals for rental allow you to see if you are indeed able to handle the responsibilities that go along with being a pet owner before actually buying a pet.
These sites also enable people who cannot purchase a pet for one or more reasons to spend some time with the animal of their choice.
All you have to do in order to rent a pet online is go to a pet rental site, fill out the required information, and the pay for the service via PayPal or credit/debit card.
6. Download Tunes While You Drive
Have you ever heard a great song on the radio and found it difficult to remember the song name later so you could buy it? Now there is a way to solve that problem. It is now possible to order a song, right from the vehicle itself.
Music on Command allows you to buy a song as you listen to it. While driving, simply call the toll free number and give the name of the station that is playing the song in question. Music on Command will then send an email or text message letting you know the name of the song, and how you can buy it.
The Internet sure has changed the way that we think, feel, research, study, log information, buy and sell things and more. As the Internet continues to grow and improve, more creative advances will become available that we can all look forward to.

RAFAH, Gaza Strip (AP) ? Spicy stuffed squid and roasted watermelon salad are among the unexpected culinary delights of the Gaza Strip, a densely populated seaside sliver of land that that has been choked by Israeli border blockades and battered by wars.
The territory's hidden gourmet treasures have been detailed in "The Gaza Kitchen: A Palestinian Culinary Journey," a new cookbook showcasing a unique, fiery variation of Mediterranean-style cuisine kept alive despite food shortages and poverty.
Many of Gaza's 1.7 million people struggle just to get by. About 1 million get regular food rations of vegetable oil and white flour, key to survival but hardly ingredients of scrumptious dishes. Rolling power cuts lasting several hours a day frazzle the nerves of all those trying to prepare meals.
The daily hardships are a result of border restrictions imposed by neighboring Israel and Egypt in 2007 when the Islamic militant group Hamas seized the territory.
Gaza's people ? most descendants of refugees displaced by the war over Israel's 1948 creation ? often have to improvise to cling to their food traditions.
"Our situation hasn't always let us cook everything, but we have adapted," said housewife Nabila Qishta, 52, in the southern town of Rafah, near the border with Egypt.
Qishta once used an electric oven to bake bread and make her spicy stews. Tired of the power outages, she built a wood-fired kiln in her garden four years ago.
Such resolve is helping keep Gaza's unique cuisine alive.
Gaza cooks like to mix chili peppers and garlic to flavor food. It's a taste acquired at a young age, with children often showing up at school with chili spread on their lunch sandwich.
Dishes are laced with piquant flavors like sour plums, limes and a sour pomegranate molasses, or sprinkled fresh dill, an herb not widely used elsewhere in the region.
Gaza's cuisine gives traditional Palestinian food "a spicy, sour, bright twist," said Maggie Schmitt, co-author of the Gaza cookbook.
The territory's penchant for strong flavors likely dates back to Gaza City's history as a port on the ancient spice route from Asia to Europe, Palestinian anthropologist Ali Qleibo said.
Gaza's location, on the fault line between Asia and Africa, and the influx of refugees more than six decades ago also have contributed to culinary diversity.
The refugees uprooted by Israel's creation included villagers, Bedouin shepherds and sophisticated city dwellers, all coming with their own food traditions.
In Gaza, they cooked familiar foods, passing on recipes to children and grandchildren, keeping a link to lost communities.
"For Palestinian people, their food connects them," said Laila El-Haddad, another co-author of the cookbook. "It locates them, when maps don't."
For Bassam el-Shakaa, 33, whose Bedouin roots trace back to what is now the southern Israeli town of Beersheba, home cooking is "libbeh."
On a recent day, he made the dish by roasting bread directly on hot coals, dusting it off, shredding and mixing it with roasted eggplant, diced chili, tomatoes and olive oil. The eggplant was a substitute for young green watermelon, meant to crown the dish, but out of season.
Like his ancestors, el-Shakaa and other men sat in a circle and ate from the same bowl. They used their hands to scoop out fleshy bread, made smoky, spicy and dewy. "We inherited this from our fathers and grandfathers," he said. "This is the food we crave."
Another Gaza specialty is cooking with clay pots, and the territory's signature dish is a fiery tomato shrimp stew with pine nuts. Spices are crushed in a mortar, using a lemon-wood pestle that releases their fragrance. The dish is assembled, baked and eaten in the clay pot.
Gaza's rich clay deposits were the likely reason for the favored cooking method, said el-Haddad, 35, who is from Columbia, Maryland.
Another local specialty is tiny stuffed squid with dill, spices, raisins and rice.
Gaza's border blockade has restricted many imports, raising the price of fuel and basic ingredients, such as sesame paste tahini, olive oil, meat and spices.
For years, smugglers defied the blockade by hauling in goods through tunnels linking Gaza to Egypt. Israel has progressively loosened the blockade; what remains are long power cuts and a ban on most exports, choking Gaza industry and keeping unemployment and poverty high.
Urban sprawl has eradicated most of Gaza's farmlands. Israel limits access to farms near the border because militants have used the areas to fire rockets. Israel also restricts where fisherman can cast their nets, driving up the price of seafood.
Gazans are experts at recycling.
Qishta, the Rafah housewife, built her kiln from clay dumped by smugglers as they dug tunnels under the nearby border with Egypt. With her husband unemployed for years, she relies on U.N. food packages.
Rawan Salmi, a busy 39-year-old school teacher and mother of two, can no longer cook ahead for an entire week and freeze portions since daily power cuts mean food will spoil quickly. Instead, she cooks a day at a time.
El-Haddad and Schmitt, of Miami, visited Gaza in 2010 to research their book. They found Palestinians eager to show off their dishes and passionately arguing over the tastiest way to prepare meals like okra and lentil stew.
Transforming meals into recipes was another challenge. Through re-testing and pleas to women to repeat instructions, the authors said they recorded generations of oral knowledge.
Some dishes that proved nearly impossible to find, like the roasted watermelon salad, because the authors came in the wrong season.
The 140-page cookbook has sold 4,000 copies since it was released in March, said Asa Winstanley of publisher Just World Books.
It reflects growing interest in Palestinian cooking and culture, said Mahmoud Muna, of Jerusalem's "Educational Bookshop" which specializes in Palestinian books.
Bestselling Jerusalem-born British chef Yotam Ottolenghi also recently wrote a book with Palestinian Sami Tamimi called "Jerusalem," covering Arab and Jewish cooking in the holy city.
Qishta, the Rafah housewife, said Gaza residents deserve the praise.
"Palestinian women are proud of their food," said Qishta, as she baked her bread.

Hundreds of teachers have passed a vote of no confidence in the education secretary, Michael Gove, and the chief inspector of England's schools, Sir Michael Wilshaw.
Delegates at the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL) annual conference overwhelmingly carried the motion. Teachers described Gove and Wilshaw as showing "abject failure to improve education or treat teachers, parents and pupils with respect".
ATL is the most moderate of the classroom unions and it is the first time in its history that delegates have passed a motion of no confidence in an education secretary.
Gove stoked teachers' anger this weekend by writing in the Mail on Sunday that they were against his plans for performance-related pay because they "resented the recognition of excellence". He also said headteachers of academies, unlike other state schools, "put the needs of children ahead of the demands of shop stewards".
Jean Roberts, from London, told the conference of 300 teachers: "We have no confidence in Gove or Wilshaw. If any of us behaved to our pupils the way they behave to our profession, we would be sacked."
Teachers are angry at changes to their pay and pensions and the scale of reforms to all parts of the curriculum. They are expected to voice their fury at Gove and Wilshaw at their annual conferences over the next week. The National Union of Teachers will also propose a vote of no confidence in Gove and call on Wilshaw to resign.
Mary Bousted, the ATL general secretary, said Gove and Wilshaw were "sucking the life and hope out of our education system and the teachers who work within it".
But Jesse Ratcliff, from Lincolnshire, told delegates to wait until the general election to show their displeasure with the government.
The conference also heard that some families were so poor that children were having to choose between catching a bus and having lunch. Teachers had to delve into their own pockets to ensure children had something to eat during the school day.
"We are not talking about sweet-stuffing Billy Bunters," said Clare Kellett, from West Somerset Community College. "Some of these students may not be sure of having a decent meal once in the day. Increasingly, teachers have to put their hands in their own pockets to lift children out of poverty."

NICOSIA, Cyprus (AP) ? Politicians in Cyprus were racing Saturday to complete an alternative plan raising funds necessary for the country to qualify for an international bailout, with a potential bankruptcy just three days away.
Cyprus has been told it must raise 5.8 billion euros ($7.5 billion) in order to secure 10 billion euros in rescue loans from other European countries that use the single currency, and from the International Monetary Fund. The country's lawmakers soundly rejected an unpopular initial plan that would have seized up to 10 percent of people's bank accounts, and is now seeking a way to raise the desperately needed money.
Finance Minister Michalis Sarris said it was unclear when new legislation raising funds would be completed and put to a vote in Parliament, but that it could be as early as Saturday night.
Nicosia made a significant step towards cementing a new plan Friday night, when its lawmakers approved nine bills, including three crucial ones that will restructure ailing banks, restrict financial transactions in emergencies and set up a "solidarity fund" for contributions.
Time is running out fast. The European Central Bank has said it will stop providing emergency funding to Cyprus' banks after Monday if no new plan is in place. Without ECB's support, Cypriot banks would collapse on Tuesday, pushing the country toward bankruptcy and a potential exit from the 17-nation eurozone.
Representatives of the IMF, ECB and European Commission ? collectively known as the troika ? were meeting with officials in the Finance Ministry throughout the morning, negotiating several new laws, including a crucial bill that would impose some form of a tax on bank deposits. The percentages and where the tax would apply are unclear, but the deputy head of the DISY governing party, Averof Neophytou, said in Parliament Friday it could be less than 1 percent on all deposits.
Troika consent is essential as they will determine whether the plan that the Cypriots come up with would meet the requirements for the bailout before it is presented to the eurozone finance ministers for final approval.
A eurogroup meeting of the finance ministers is expected to be held in Brussels over the weekend, and Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades was also to fly there, potentially as early as Saturday.

I have always thought that my house was pretty neat and tidy.? Sometimes I would have a closet or some drawers that would get a little out of control.? But, since I have been home from teaching I have had a HUGE project hanging over my head.? It was in the form of 40 large bins, packed to the brim with books, supplies, and materials.? Sure, I had looked through them now and again.? I had even taken some down and I had gotten out a lot of my books for my kiddos.? I hadn?t really sat down with all of the stuff and truly sorted, downsized, and dealt with it all.? We have moved it three different times?out of the school, into our old house, into storage, and into our current home.? Chris had been getting on me to go through it all.? It was taking over our unfinished area, and cramping space from items that really needed to be stored, i.e. Christmas stuff and old keepsakes.?
Since my preschool is going to be up and running next year, it gave me the perfect reason to tackle the bins and bins of stuff.? I worked on this project every moment the kids were sleeping sunday, monday, and tuesday.? It was almost done tuesday night, so I stayed up until 1 am just to see it finished.? It is funny, because once you REALLY start organizing stuff it spreads.? I realized that all of my teaching stuff affected the closets in the basement.? And that lead to my growing supply of art and craft stuff?.AND THAT lead to my ridiculous office area that was crammed to the max with stamping, sewing, and knitting supplies.? I finally finished with the office, and decided that I had enough left over bins to tackle the garage.? Yep, pretty much every inch of our house is labeled and in a bin.? It was a week long project, but man does everything look great!
This was the previous closet that housed all of the craft supplies for my children and their games.? I left all of the games in the closet, but I moved out all of the craft supplies.? Now I have all of my read alouds for school on the top shelf in magazine racks, sorted by holiday, genre, or author, and labeled of course.? My calendar system is housed here, along with all of the mini drawers full of post its, sharpies, and anything ?teachery? that is needed.? The two bins with books now have favorite real alouds, along with teacher work books and curriculum guides that I thought would apply to my preschool.
The bottom of the shelves now hold anything that applies to school in the form of a manipulative or sensory activity.? The smaller bins contain beans, stamps, counting blocks, unifix cubes, dyed pasta, shells, zoobs, tongs, dry erase boards, etc etc.? The lower bins hold all of my play dough store bought and home made, along with gak, moon dough, dyed rice, pasta, and just about any sensory material that I use with my own children.? I love that everything is now at my finger tips and I can find stuff easy peesy!? Here is the whole view of my new ?teaching closet? and I can?t get enough of it!
Next up was the out of control unfinished area.? I went through each and every bin.? I donated hoards of stuff to goodwill, and threw away equally as much stuff in the trash.? I really wanted to sift through it all and make good decisions about the items.? Some of it really was in good condition, but I felt that if I held onto it for teaching in the public schools it would surely be outdated by then.? It was important to be honest about how much of it was really ever going to get ?used? again.?
This just part of the extra bins that I went through (the rest are now in the garage storing helmets and balls).? To say this was a huge messy project was an understatement.? Chris said it looked like a bomb of books, papers, and plain old crap had gone off in our basement.? But, I did get the shelves better organized.? These are my remaining ?teacher? bins?.
The clear bins are the only ones left from and for my new preschool.? I divided them up into sections, put the paper in front of them and labeled each and every thing inside for easy access during the school year next year.? The bins are divided simply into literacy based materials, math materials, sensory pay (funnels, scoops), classroom management (binders, bowls, bins, organization), holiday activities, and two bins of older math/literacy materials that I could use with Bradley.? My paper cutters and the overhead are sitting on the far left.? The far right is actually now our gift wrapping area and one container of ?presents? that I hide for whichever upcoming holiday is next.
The gift wrapping area was previously in our basement bedroom closet.? It got moved because that will soon be Crozet PlaySchool?s art studio.? I figured while I was moving everything around, I mine as well organize and consolidate the many, many, many craft supplies I have for my kids.? We had them spread out around the house, some near the kitchen and some in the basement.? It is so nice to have them all in one central location, and labeled for easy art projects.
I also came across a TON of art supplies in my teaching bins too.? It made sense to just group everything together for the future.? This is the overview picture of the new Art Studio supply closet.? The top shelf now holds bins with similar materials organized together.? There are paint supplies, dot art, holiday crafts, watercolors and pastels, chalk, natural materials, found objects, modeling clay, etc.
I bought this little organizer back when I was teaching, and I still love it!? It has organized lots of different things, but now it holds all of those funny little? hard to keep track of art supplies.? There are buttons, stamps, beads and more beads, perler beads by color, pom poms, and stickers, and probably more that I am forgetting.? I didn?t label the drawers because they are always changing.?
Lastly I used these rolling drawers for all of my larger art supplies.? The bins were left over from my classroom.? They don?t match and aren?t attractive, but they will be hidden away in the closet so that is fine!? They are storing paints, paper, rolling brushes, art brushes, cookie cutters, pom poms, pipe cleaners, foam stickers, smocks, crayons and markers, the list goes on and on.
That pretty much sums up the downstairs space.? All closets and storage rooms are completely cleaned and tidy!!!!
Then I knew I had to tackle my office area.? Since we have moved into our house I have taken up a few new crafts.? With each new craft comes loads and loads of supplies.? Sewing especially!
But, my office space was originally set up for all of my stamping and paper crafting.? I still like to do that now and again, but I needed to downsize all of that stuff.? I actually took a good majority of my stamps and put them in the art supply closet for school.? I had tons of alphabet stamps, numbers, dinosaurs, and animals that I know my kids will enjoy more than I am right now!
With that extra space I was really able to make room for a great deal of sewing and knitting supplies!!? I love the look of the office now, and the way the light is just beaming through the window.? It is screaming for someone to come and create, sew, and relax!
My new knitting nook is all set!? The rainbow of yarns is so inviting!
In the cabinets I now have sewing on one side and my stamping and paper crafting on the other side.? My felt is all lined up and my fabric scraps are all in baggies and organized by colors.? It makes sewing so much more fun when you can find your notions easily.? I was previously digging through this enormous basket for scissors, measuring tape, and thread.? It is so frustrating when you can?t find what you need!
Now that you have pretty much seen a picture of every closet and storage area in our house I am going to say that I truly now feel ORGANIZED!? It is so nice to know where your stuff is and be able to get your hands on it easily!
I think Chris was worried about me, because I was pretty much obsessed with this project for an entire week.? Now that it is finished I can sew and knit in peace?
Someone very silly is a few days away from turning three, I can?t believe it!!!? Love you Ellie Belle?

A mistrial was declared Thursday afternoon on the remaining charges against five former Bell elected officials.
Superior Court Judge Kathleen Kennedy had asked jurors to decide whether further deliberations would help break a deadlock on the remaining charges.
The judge noted, however, that based on a flurry of testy communications from the panel, "It seems to me that all hell has broken loose in the jury deliberation room."

Authorities investigate the scene of shooting in Brunswick, Ga., on Thursday.
By Elizabeth Chuck, Staff Writer, NBC News
Two?teenage suspects were arrested in a small coastal Georgia city?a day after a baby was killed and his mom shot, authorities said Friday.
The mother, Sherry West,?told FOX affiliate WAWS-TV?that she was pushing her 13-month-old son, Antonio, in his stroller in Brunswick, Ga., Thursday morning, when?two boys ? described as about 10 and 15 years old ? came up, demanded money and shot them.
Brunswick police announced Friday afternoon that they had arrested a 17-year-old and a 14-year-old, and that they were charging them with murder. The arrests came after SWAT teams had gone door to door, searching for clues, and police had checked local school attendance and absentee lists to see if there were any students who hadn't been at school that fit the description of the suspects.
West told WAWS-TV that the older boy pointed a handgun at her during the encounter Thursday.
"He said, 'I'm gonna kill you if you don't give me your money,' and I said, 'I swear I don't have any,'" she told WAWS-TV of the encounter.?
She said they wouldn't accept no for an answer.
"He says, 'Well, I'm gonna kill your baby,'" she told WAWS-TV, crying. "I put my arms over my baby and he shoves me. And then he shot my baby right in the head."?
Glynn County Police Department
De'Marquise Kareem Elkins, 17.
West was shot in the leg, according to local reports. Brunswick police spokesman Todd Rhodes confirmed she received a non-life-threatening gunshot wound from a handgun.
Brunswick police identified the 17-year-old suspect as De'Marquise Kareem Elkins. The 14-year-old's identity, since he is a juvenile, was not made public; under Georgia law, 17 is considered an adult.
West was the only eyewitness to the crime, Rhodes said.?Residents in the area reported hearing gunshots, but didn't see anything, he said.?
Brunswick, Georgia Police Chief Tobe Green says authorities have arrested two teenagers suspected in the shooting death of a baby in a stroller and the wounding of the baby's mother.
"We're not leaving any stone unturned," he said earlier in the day.
In a news conference Friday afternoon, Brunswick police chief Tobe Brown said, "We're still following leads from our witnesses. We're still collecting evidence. ... We're currently serving search warrants at three locations within the city."?
Police hadn't located a weapon yet.
The baby's father, Louis Santiago, said to WAWS-TV, "Why? Why my little one? You know? You feel they could have just taken the pocketbook and go."
Brunswick is about 80 miles south of Savannah.

RAMALLAH, West Bank (Reuters) - President Barack Obama voiced opposition on Thursday to Israeli settlement building but pressed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to drop his demand for a freeze before Middle East peace talks can resume.
After an effusive welcome in Israel, Obama travelled to the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where disillusioned Palestinians held out little hope that their moment in the spotlight of a U.S. presidential visit would help revive the peace process.
At a joint news conference with Abbas, Obama said he had "been clear" with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Washington did not consider continued settlement activity to be constructive to "the cause of peace".
But Obama stopped short of calling for a halt to settlement expansion - a demand he had made early in his first term - and signaled his frustration over the failure of Israel and the Palestinians to find a way to resume talks stalled since 2010.
However, he offered no new ideas on how to get the two sides negotiating again at a time when prospects for a peace deal are grim in a region roiled by the West's nuclear standoff with Iran and the bloody civil war in Syria.
"What I shared with President Abbas, and I'll share it with the Palestinian people: if the expectation is we can only have direct negotiations when everything is settled ahead of time, then there's no point in the negotiations," he said.
"My argument is even though both sides may have areas of strong disagreement, may be engaging in activities that the other side thinks is a breach of good faith, we have to push through those things to try to get an agreement," Obama said.
Some 150 Palestinian demonstrators gathered in Ramallah to protest against Obama's visit. They were held back by mass ranks of police who prevented them from nearing Abbas's compound.
A smiling Obama, accompanied by Abbas, was met by mostly stern-faced Palestinian officials along a red carpet - a stark contrast to the broad grins and backslapping during an elaborate welcoming ceremony on Wednesday at Israel's Tel Aviv airport.
ARAB RECOGNITION
Obama, embarking on a second and final four-year term in the White House, has made clear he is not bringing any new peace initiatives but instead has come to Israel and the Palestinian Territories on a "listening" tour.
But he said his new secretary of state, John Kerry, would spend a significant amount of time and energy trying to narrow differences between the two sides as the United States seeks to move them back to the negotiating table.
Abbas reaffirmed his demand for a settlement freeze, but held out the prospect of a broader peace between Israel and other Arab nations if a Palestinian state was created.
"If peace came between us and the Israelis, Israel knows well that all the Arab and Islamic countries, 57 states, will recognize the state of Israel immediately," he said.
As a reminder of the ever-present risks in the region, Iranian state television quoted Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as saying Tehran would raze Tel Aviv and the city of Haifa if Israel carried out veiled threats to attack Iran.
And Palestinians in the Gaza Strip fired two rockets into Sderot, a southern Israeli town that Obama visited when running for president in 2008. Police said no one was hurt.
There was no claim of responsibility, and Obama is not going to visit Gaza, which is controlled by the Islamist group Hamas, a rival to the Western-backed Abbas, who condemned the attack.
Obama held talks with Netanyahu on Wednesday and toured the Israel Museum in Jerusalem with him on Thursday, viewing the ancient Dead Sea Scrolls - artefacts that underscore the Jewish link to the Holy Land - and a high-tech exhibit.
The main focus of his initial discussions with Netanyahu appeared to be pressing regional concerns, primarily Iran's nuclear ambitions and the civil war in neighboring Syria, and winning the hearts of a skeptical Israeli public.
After repeated run-ins with Netanyahu during Obama's first term in office, the mood between the two men appeared to be much warmer, angering Palestinians, who blame the 2010 collapse of U.S.-backed peace negotiations on the Israeli leader's expansion of settlements on land where they want their state.
Obama is also to address the decades-old conflict later on Thursday in a keynote speech to students in Jerusalem.
After the lofty ambitions of Obama's first term, when he appointed a special envoy to the Middle East on his very first day in charge and said peacemaking was a priority, it was clear that the president has now set the bar significantly lower.
"I will consider this a success if, when I go back on Friday, I am able to say to myself I have a better understanding of what the constraints are," he told a joint news conference on Wednesday, standing alongside Netanyahu.
The three-day visit is Obama's first to Israel and the West Bank since entering the White House in 2009, and the inaugural foreign trip of a final four-year term that began in January.
Sporadic protests had flared in the West Bank and Gaza Strip this week, with Palestinians accusing Obama of not doing enough to halt Israeli settlement-building on land seized in 1967.
Posters depicting the U.S. president were defaced in the West Bank cities of Ramallah and Bethlehem earlier this week and anti-U.S. sentiment bubbled up on social media.
